.TAHIMA May 19 Ultimate Workshop - 05/19/2012
Join Us for a wonderful day of learning! Tami Clark from Thurston County 911 Communciations will discuss community awareness in reporting emergencies. The second speaker is Sandra Flint who is a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. She will present an overview on healthcare fraud investigations, relevant statutes, and strategies employed by law enforement to root out fraud in the system.
The workshop is at Tacoma Community College in building L2 (formerly Building 10) from 9:30am - 1:30pm. There are 4 CEs available and costs $25 for members/student members & $45 non-members.

ICD-10 Fracture Coding - 05/17/2012
We are pleased to announce that Char Gore, RHIA, CCS and Kim Lee, RHIA, CCS-P, CPC from Tacoma Community College's Health Information Management program will provide TAHIMA members with an overview of ICD-10 fracture coding. Both Char and Kim are AHIMA ICD-10 Train-the-Trainer certified.

What's the Skinny on Obesity? (SHIMA) - 05/05/2012 (2 CEUs)
The Seattle Health Information Management Association (SHIMA) is proud to present an educational workshop focused on obesity. The presentation will define common causes of obesity along with interventions and or treatments of the disease, all of which have major impacts on the healthcare industry today.
Dr. Jenny McFarland, PhD is the speaker and has a wealth of experience. She is currently teaching science-related classes at Edomonds Community College.
.The workshop is being held at Evergreen Hospital's Red Auditorium (12040 NE 128th St. Kirkland, WA 98034) andruns from 9:00am-11:00am with registration beginning at 8:30am. This workshop costs $10 for SHIMA members and $20 for non-members.

.WSHIMA Outpatient Coding Roundtable - 02/04/2012 (5 CEUs)
The Washington State Health Information Management Association is hosting a coding roundtable on Saturday 2/4/12 from 10a-4p at Valley Medical Center in Renton. The focus will be CPT coding for procedures in the areas of Interventional Radiology, Spine, Hand, and Ortho. The conference fee will be $90 which includes lunch.
